Bio:
Jurist and media literacy officer at RTBF.
Short contents:
The workshop is dedicated to media literacy, i.e. to developing a critical mindset among citizens vis-à-vis the media which they are consuming but in which they are also actors. More particularly, the workshop will focus on information and disinformation with two examples of actions carried out by RTBF: Inside and Faky. Inside is a set of audiovisual contents that aim to explain what information is, what journalism stands for and what choices editors have to make. Faky is a digital platform that helps the general public to check how reliable information is by means of fact-checking tools. Among the questions addressed we highlight the right and duty to inform, journalism and deontology, propaganda and manipulation, and the limits to human and artificial intelligence.
